Our Ministries

Deacon Ministry:

Deacons at Sentertown are true servants of the Lord.  Our Deacons serve with the Pastoral staff in the following areas:

• Supporting the church in the achievement of its overall mission

• Providing care for Church members and others in the community

• Serving the Lord’s Supper

• Assisting with worship services where needed as determined by the Church

Usher Ministry:

Our Ushers serve as watchmen, servants, disciplinarians and  are on their post every Sunday to welcome members and guest to the Sentertown services.  In doing so, the ushers represent the church in a viable way in setting the tone for worship experiences.  Our ushers are courteous, warm, kind and sincere in praise to honor our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Christian Education:

Sentertown is committed to teaching the word of God and preparing the Saints to reach beyond the four walls of Sentertown.  We also include assimilation of new members and the following:

• Our education ministry is committed to teaching Christ, winning other to Christ, initiating enthusiasm for Christ and nurturing those in Christ.

• Our Sunday School studies occur on Sunday mornings.  It is one of the primary educational areas of the church carried on in a classroom setting.  Our church reflects the biblical teaching of the church and designed for you to grow in your personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.   Classes are structured according to ages, so no one is too young or old for our classes.

Midweek Studies:

• Sentertown has a long history of a church where sound Bible doctrine is taught.  We strive to equip Christians at all levels to become more effective and committed Disciples of Christ through promoting excellence in mind, character and deed through our weekly teachings.  We invite you to attend our studies each Wednesday at 6:00 PM, not just to hear and study the word but be prepared to be changed by it.

Youth Ministry:             

We are building our Youth by encouraging them to build their relationship with Jesus Christ.  We want to have a variety of activities available, however when it comes to the Word of God, we want to be SERIOUS!  This is our first priority to equip them with all they need to fulfill God’s purpose for them.  

Christian Fun—We want to keep a busy schedule for our youth throughout the year:  bowling, lock-in’s, movies, etc.

Music Ministries:

The music ministry is a large vital part of the worship experience at Sentertown.  Our purpose is to exalt, praise and edify the name of Jesus through music that is God centered.  We sing traditional gospel, contemporary gospel and hymns.  Musicians, vocalists and directors of all ages can minister through music and song in our choir.  This ministry also included audio/video technicians as well as dance ministry.  Our Sanctuary choir or the Men’s Choir ministers every Sunday and Dance Team leads praise and worship on the fourth Sunday of each month. Rehearsals for Choir is held each Wednesday at 7PM and Dance is held on Tuesday’s at 6PM.  

Trustee Ministry:

• The trustee ministry is to care for the church property and acts as legal agents for the church enhancing the vision and mission of the church.

Mothers Ministry

• The Mothers Ministry is dedicated to uplifting the Body of Christ. They are available to aid younger men and women in their Christian growth. They provide mature Christian perspective to the new believer. Our mothers comfort the sick in body and spirit. They are intercessors for babes in Christ and give Godly direction on how to live a more fulfilled life. They are examples of being faithful, devoted and committed to the prosperity and well being of the Church.
