Bio
Rev. Keith Elliott was born in Brevard NC and is the 4th of six children. He was raised and educated in Brevard. He attended Western Carolina University where he received a four year football scholarship becoming the first African American to receive the award. He went on and received his Bachelor’s Degree and also his MBA degree from Western Carolina. Recently Pastor Elliott was appointed to the National Alumni Board for Western.
Retired from the US Postal Service after 31 years of service. Pastor Elliott was one of two African American Postmasters in Upper East Tennessee.
Rev. Elliott received his call into the ministry in 1980 and was ordained in 1986 at Mount Olive Baptist Church under the Pastorate of Rev. Dr. W. T. Crutcher. In 1987 he and his wife Nina founded and pastored the New Covenant Baptist Church in West Knoxville. He served and led faithfully for five years.
In 1998, Pastor Elliott was call to the Sentertown Missionary Baptist Church to lead this congregation. Pastor Elliott has since received an additional Master’s Degree in Ministry and Doctorate of Ministry from Covington Theological Seminary. Pastor Elliott has served faithfully and vigorously at Sentertown leading the church. Pastor Elliott is a man of love, integrity and committed to the Gospel.
The Elliott’s have two children, Keith Jr. who is married to Grace and Christina married to Rev. Milton Campbell. They have 7 grandchildren: Jadyn, Avery, Tobia, Cohen and Lily Elliott; and Malia and Moriah Campbell.
